Log a Quick Task

Goal: Record an unplanned or ad-hoc maintenance job in a single step, without creating a full task first — so the work is logged for compliance and history even when there was no scheduled task for it.

**Quick Task vs. Complete a Task:** - Use **Quick Task** when the job was not scheduled in advance and you want to create and close the record in one action. - Use [Complete a Task](/pms/tasks/complete-a-task) when a task already exists in the list and you are recording that you carried it out.

Before you start

  • You must have permission to create quick tasks. If you don’t see the Quick Task button, ask your fleet administrator.

Steps

Open the Tasks list

  1. From the main navigation, open PMSTasks.
