Generate a Financial Report

Goal: Produce a finance report that gives the captain or shore office a clear view of spending, budget position, or cash movements.

Reports are only as accurate as the records behind them. Before generating a report, check that expenses, budget details, and cashbook entries are up to date.

Before you start

  • You must have permission to view finance reports.
  • Confirm the period, yacht, and finance area you want to report on.
  • Review any draft or unapproved records if your report should include only final figures.

Steps

### Open the finance area

Open the finance list or report area that contains the information you need, such as Expenses, Budgets, Cashbook, or a configured finance report.

Choose the report type

Select the report or report action that matches your question, such as expenses, budget position, cashbook movements, or a broader finance summary.

Set the report filters

Choose the date range, account, budget, status, department, or other available filters.

Use a narrow date range first if you are investigating a specific issue. Use a wider range when preparing a periodic review.

Generate the report

Run the report and review the result on screen.

Export or share if needed

Export the report when it needs to be sent to the owner representative, management company, accountant, or shore office.
