Troubleshoot Crew Issues

Goal: Check the most common reasons why crew records, tabs, statuses, or actions do not appear as expected.

Start with the basics

Before editing a crew record, check:

  • The correct yacht is selected.
  • No unexpected table filter is active.
  • The list has been refreshed.
  • You are signed in with the correct account.
  • Your profile includes access to the Crew area.

I cannot find a crew member

Check:

  • Use All instead of a narrower quick filter.
  • Check Archived if the crew member may have been archived.
  • Check Former Crew if the person has no active contract.
  • Clear search text and column filters.
  • Confirm that the correct yacht is selected.
  • Ask your administrator to confirm your access if the record still does not appear.

The crew member is not shown as on board or active

Check:

  • Whether the crew member has an active contract.
  • Whether the current date is inside the expected contract or rotation period.
  • Whether boarding or deboarding information has been recorded.
  • Whether rank and required profile details are complete.

A tab is missing

Tabs can be hidden because your profile does not include access to that area.

Common examples include:

  • Documents or attachments.
  • Contacts.
  • Medical information.
  • Contracts.
  • Certificates.
A missing tab usually means the information is not available to your profile. It does not always mean the crew record is incomplete.

A button is disabled

Buttons can be disabled when:

  • No row is selected.
  • The selected crew member does not support the action.
  • Required contract, rank, date, or boarding information is missing.
  • The record is read-only for your profile.
  • The current crew state does not allow the action.

What to send when asking for help

Include:

  • Yacht name.
  • Crew member name.
  • Page or tab you are using.
  • Action you expected.
  • What you actually see.
  • Whether filters are active.

Do not send passwords, passport scans, contract files, or medical details in support messages unless your internal process allows it.

Result

You can identify common crew-record issues before escalating: wrong yacht, active filters, archived status, former crew status, missing contract or boarding information, limited permissions, hidden tabs, or read-only records.
