Configure Your Profile

Goal: Review your personal profile, choose your preferred dashboard when available, and understand which profile settings you can manage yourself.

Before you start

  • You must be signed in to IN-YACHT.
  • Your account must be active.
  • If your profile is linked to a crew member record, that record must already exist in the system.
Your profile controls your personal view of IN-YACHT. It does not replace your user permissions. If a module, action, yacht, or field is missing, your administrator may need to update your access.

Open your profile

### Open the user menu

Click your avatar in the top bar.

Select My Profile

Choose My Profile from the user menu.

The profile page opens with your personal details and settings.

Review your profile details

The profile details area shows the information connected to your account, such as your username and email address.

If your account is linked to a crew member profile, you may also see a link to the related crew member record. Use that link when you need to review operational crew information, such as crew details, documents, certificates, contracts, or other crew-specific data.

Some personal details may be read-only. If your name, email address, or crew link is wrong, ask your administrator to correct the account or crew record.

Choose your dashboard

Some accounts can choose a preferred dashboard. This affects what you see when the main screen loads.

### Find the dashboard field

On the profile page, look for the dashboard selection field.

Choose the dashboard you want to use

Select the dashboard that best matches your work.

For example, a captain may prefer an overview dashboard, while an engineer may prefer a maintenance-focused dashboard if one is available.

Wait for the change to be saved

After selecting a dashboard, wait for the confirmation message before leaving the page.

Reset your password

If the profile page shows a reset password action, use it when you need to change or refresh your password.

### Open your profile settings

Go to the settings area of your profile.

Click Reset Password

Click the reset password action and follow the instructions shown on screen.

Complete the password change

Finish the password change using the page or email flow provided by your organization.

If you cannot complete the password reset, contact your administrator. Do not send your current password by email, chat, or support message.

Review subscriptions

Your profile can include subscription areas for notifications, reminders, or workflow updates.

Use these sections to understand which updates are connected to your account. The available options may depend on your yacht, role, and active modules.

Result

You know where to find your profile, which personal settings you can review or change, and when to ask an administrator to update account details, permissions, yacht access, or crew information.
