Create a Charter Booking

Goal: Create the main charter record so guests, itinerary, contract details, and APA activity can be managed from one place.

A charter booking is the starting point of the charter workflow. After it exists, you can add guests, define the itinerary, manage contract information, create the APA, and close the charter when the work is complete.

Before you start

  • Confirm that the correct yacht is selected.
  • Prepare the charter dates, client or booking reference, and any known contract or broker information.
  • You must have permission to create charter bookings. If the action is not available, ask your administrator.

What to complete next

After creating the booking, continue with the parts that are known:

  • Add the guests when the guest list is available.
  • Define the itinerary when destinations and dates are known.
  • Manage the contract when commercial details or signed documents are ready.
  • Create the APA when the advance provisioning allowance needs to be tracked.
Avoid closing or finalising a charter record before guests, itinerary, contract, and APA information have been reviewed according to your internal process.

Result

The charter booking exists in the Charter list. You can now open it and continue building the full charter record.
