Crew Statuses
Goal: Understand the common crew list statuses so you can read availability, contract, boarding, and archive information correctly.
Why statuses can overlap
A crew member can have more than one operational signal at the same time. For example, a crew member can have an active contract but not be on board.
The Crew Members list uses filters and indicators to help you focus on the records you need.
Common crew views
All
Shows the standard active crew list for the selected yacht.
On Board
Shows crew currently marked as on board.
Use this view when you need to know who is physically expected on the yacht or currently assigned to onboard operations.
Active Contract
Shows crew with an active contract.
This does not always mean the crew member is currently on board. It means the crew member has contract information that is active for operational purposes.
On Leave
Shows crew who are not currently on board but still have an active relationship with the yacht.
Use this when checking rotation planning or expected return.
On Duty
Shows crew marked as currently working or duty-relevant.
[PLACEHOLDER: confirm the exact operational rule used for On Duty in the Crew Members list]
Former Crew
Shows crew without an active contract.
Former crew may still be kept in the system for history, documents, certificates, or past employment records.
Archived
Shows records that have been moved out of the active list.
Archived records are usually kept for reference rather than daily operations.
Result
You can read crew list filters correctly and understand why a crew member may appear as on board, on leave, active, former, or archived.
