Before you start
- The crew member must already exist.
- You must have permission to manage crew contracts.
- Prepare the start date, rank, contract type, and any known end date.
- Prepare compensation details only if your yacht uses those fields.
- Prepare contract files if they need to be attached.

Complete contract details
The contract detail page can include several areas.
Contract details
Use this area for the core contract information:
- Start Date: when the contract begins.
- End Date: when the contract ends, if already known.
- Contract Type: the type of agreement used by your yacht.
- Rank: the crew member’s rank for this contract.
- Payroll: payroll reference if your process uses it.
Compensation and benefits
Use this area when salary, bonus, currency, or payment interval are tracked in IN-YACHT.
If your yacht does not use these fields, leave them according to your internal process.
Rotation and leave
Use this area when the contract is part of a rotation arrangement. You can record whether it is a rotation contract and maintain leave-related values when your process uses them.
Contract files
Use the files area to attach contract documents, signed agreements, or supporting records.
Save the contract
Check dates, rank, contract type, and any financial or rotation values.
Save
Click Save to keep working on the contract, or Save and Close to return to the crew member profile.
Confirm the crew profile
Return to the crew member profile and check whether the active contract and rank now appear as expected.
Result
The crew contract is saved and can be used for rank, active contract, rotation, leave, and contract document tracking.
