Navigate the Platform

Goal: Understand the main navigation areas in IN-YACHT so you can move between yachts, modules, records, notifications, and your profile with confidence.

Before you start

  • You must be signed in to IN-YACHT.
  • Your account must have access to at least one yacht or working area.
  • The modules you see depend on your profile and the selected yacht.

Main areas of the screen

IN-YACHT uses a consistent layout across modules. Once you understand the main areas, the same navigation logic applies whether you are working with crew, PMS, ISM, stock, finance, voyages, documents, or administration.

Top bar

The top bar is the quickest place to check your working context.

Use it to:

  • Confirm or change the selected yacht.
  • Open notifications.
  • Open reminders.
  • Open the user menu.
  • Return to the main navigation if the side menu is hidden.

Side menu

The side menu lists the modules available to your account and selected yacht.

Modules can contain sub-sections. Open a module to see the pages inside it, then choose the page you need.

If a module is missing, it may not be active for the selected yacht, or your profile may not include access to it.

The breadcrumb shows where you are inside the application. Use it to understand the current page context and move back to a higher level when available.

Main content area

The main content area is where you complete the work: read cards, manage tables, open records, fill forms, upload files, review statuses, or run reports.

### Confirm the selected yacht

Look at the yacht selector in the top bar before starting work.

If the wrong yacht is selected, switch yacht first. Records, cards, reports, notifications, and available actions can change after the switch.

Open a module from the side menu

Use the side menu to open the area you need, such as PMS, ISM, Stock & Supply, Crew, Finance, Voyages, Documents, or Administration.

Choose the page inside the module

If the module expands into sub-sections, select the specific page you need.

For example, a module may contain separate pages for lists, tasks, documents, setup data, or reports.

Use the breadcrumb to stay oriented

After opening a page or record, check the breadcrumb if you are unsure where you are.

Return to another area when needed

Use the side menu, breadcrumb, or homepage cards to move to the next area of work.

Open notifications and reminders

Use the notification and reminder icons in the top bar to review items that need your attention.

Click an item to open the related record when a link is available. If the item belongs to another yacht, confirm that the correct yacht is selected.

For more detail, see Notifications and Reminders.

Open your profile or sign out

Click your avatar in the top bar to open the user menu.

From there, you can open My Profile or sign out.

Use My Profile to review your account details, dashboard preference, password action, and subscriptions.

When something is missing

If you cannot find a module, page, record, button, or action, check these points first:

  • Confirm that the correct yacht is selected.
  • Clear active filters if you are looking at a table.
  • Refresh the list if the data may have changed.
  • Check whether the record status makes the action unavailable.
  • Ask your administrator to confirm your access if the area is still missing.
IN-YACHT shows different menus and actions depending on the selected yacht, active modules, record status, and your permissions. This is expected behavior.

Result

You can identify the main parts of the IN-YACHT layout, move between modules, check your yacht context, open notifications and reminders, and understand the first checks to make when something is not visible.
