Create and Open Records
Goal: Create a new record from a table and open existing records when details are available.
Before you start
- Open the table for the type of record you want to create or review.
- Make sure you have permission to create or edit records in that area.
Create a new record
Use New when you need to create a record from the table you are viewing. Depending on the module, the button may open a creation form, a creation window, or a module-specific creation flow.
If you do not see New, you may not have permission to create records in that area, or the table may be for review only.

Open record details
In many tables, clicking a row opens the record details. Use the detail page when you need to review the full information, edit fields, upload files, complete workflow actions, or continue the related process.
Some tables are not linked to a detail page. In those cases, the table itself is the main working area for that information.
Result
You can create records from tables where creation is available and open record details where the table supports detail pages.
