Sort and Group Records
Goal: Sort rows and group related records so a table is easier to review.
Before you start
- Open a table with the records you want to review.
Sort records
Click a column header to sort the table by that column. Sorting helps you bring the newest, oldest, highest, lowest, or alphabetically first records to the top, depending on the column type.
Click the same column again if you need to change the sort direction.
Group records
Use grouping when you want to organize rows by a shared value. For example, you may group records by category, status, department, supplier, or another column available in the table.
When grouping is available, drag a column header into the grouping area at the top of the table. The table separates records into expandable groups.

Ungroup records
Use Reset Filter when you want to remove grouping together with filters, sorting, and row selections.
You can also remove the grouped column from the grouping area when you want to keep the rest of your table setup.
Result
The table is sorted or grouped in a way that helps you review related records together.
